On March 24, British Management University had the pleasure of hosting Nick Megoran, Professor of Political Geography at Newcastle University (UK), for an insightful guest lecture.
The topic, “What happens when closed borders reopen? Learning from the Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan interface”, sparked a lively discussion on the political, social, and economic dynamics that emerge when long-closed borders reopen. Students and Professors engaged actively, asking questions and exploring real-world implications of border reopening in the Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan region.
We thank Professor Megoran for sharing his expertise and our students for their enthusiastic participation. Events like these continue to enrich the academic experience and broaden our understanding of global issues.
